After completing her medical degree and an internship at Gandhi Medical College in India, Dr. Dasari moved to New York City to complete a residency program in radiation oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College, and is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.After five years, she moved her young family to the Dallas Metroplex in 2002.
In year 2002 she received Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award for her outstanding research work.
Her academic and clinical interests include breast cancer, head and neck cancer, gynecological cancers, lymphomas, gastrointestinal malignancies as well as brachytherapy and Stereotactic radiosurgery.
Dr. Dasari has presented at national meetings and has published in journals as well.
Early in her medical education, a professor encouraged Dr. Dasari to specialize in radiation oncology because of her deep interest in physics and biology. Today, she credits her patients for inspiring her to excel in the always-evolving field. Dr. Dasari is a perpetual student who prides herself on being well-informed of the most current research in oncology. With all of the latest equipment and technology at her fingertips at Las Colinas Cancer Center, Dr. Dasari specializes in breast, head and neck cancers.
Dr. Dasari and her husband have two school-aged sons. As a family, they enjoy travelling. When they’re at home in Dallas, the Dasari’s play and watch a lot of sports. Dr. Dasari especially enjoys rooting for the Indian national cricket team.
