Dr. Kiran Kancharla is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. She earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, then came to the United States for her residency and fellowship training, both of which she completed at Loyola University in Chicago.
Dr. Kancharla brings a special empathy to her practice. She decided to specialize in oncology after caring for her own father who was diagnosed with Lymphoma at the age of 42. Dr. Kancharla realizes a cancer diagnosis affects not only the patient, but also the patient’s support system. She is committed to spending time with her patients and their family to ensure everyone feels comfortable with and confident in the personalized cancer treatment plan she develops. Dr. Kancharla has a special interest in lymphomas, breast, gastrointestinal and lung cancers, but she is well trained to treat a broad range of benign hematology and other malignancies.
Dr. Kancharla has been an active member of the Northeast Chapter of the Texas Indo American Physicians Society (TIPS-NEC) for several years and as of 2018 serves as President of the organization. She considers it a privilege to collaborate with her peers to support the TIPS charity clinic and mission of Service, Education, and Networking.
